I am 22 years old and am a alumna of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In May 2017, I earned a Bachelor of Science in news-editorial journalism from the College of Media, in addition to a SportMedia certificate.

I am currently a freelance writer and am a contributor for FloGymnastics (formerly known as Gymnastike). I was co-editor-in-chief of Illio Yearbook for the 2016-2017 academic year, a contributor for Triple Twist Gym Blog and an intern for Inside Gymnastics magazine. I was also the University of Illinois correspondent for FloGymnastics for the 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 NCAA gymnastics seasons, was also a contributor during the summer of 2014, and was an intern for the summer of 2016.

During my education at the University of Illinois, I took a variety of classes, ranging from political science to philosophy to economics, in addition to my required journalism requirements. As an aspiring sports journalist, I have also taken as many sport related classes as possible to learn as much about sports as possible. This includes sports sociology, sports psychology and sports history courses.

As a gymnastics writer/reporter, my goal is to promote the sport, help it grow and increase its publicity and exposure. It is one of the top Olympic sports, yet it is not nearly as popular during non-Olympic years.

My hobbies include photography, writing, reading, hand lettering, graphic design and crafts. In addition to gymnastics, my interests include action sports, dance and fashion.
